Everyday Mathematics:
The Math program that our district uses is called Everyday Mathematics. This program is designed to teach children Math using a spiraling effect, meaning that they learn a skill, build on it, then come back to it periodically for additional practice before they continue to gradually build on that skill.
At the beginning of each unit, a Family Letter for that unit will be sent home with your child. Be sure to review the letter with your child and keep it for reference throughout the unit.

It may be helpful for the children to use flash cards to help them practice their basic facts. Make flash cards (using index cards) with your child to help practice addition and subtraction facts. You can also click on the link below to visit a website and print off custom-made flash cards.
